A superb opportunity for a talented events professional and experienced leader to join a multinational Law Firm based in the City to define, develop and deliver the firm’s events strategy and operation, lead their Events team and deliver a varied and distinctive palette of events with maximum ROI.


  • Develop and deliver strategic plans for the firm’s events
  • Engage with colleagues across the firm to develop understanding of business strategy and tailor event activity
  • Collaborate closely with Business Development to maximise impact of events activity
  • Work with the Events Manager to lead, motivate and develop the Events team
  • Inspire and guide the Events team to meet the firm’s required level of excellence
  • Manage and develop new and existing relationships with agents and service suppliers
  • Gather and analyse management information to review and report on performance and ensure continuous improvement
  • Promote collaboration between support services within the firm
  • Participate in the recruitment process
  • Oversee Health & Safety procedures related to Events activity and the team


  • Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in an Events or Business Development role within a professional services environment
  • Understanding of business development and marketing in an events context
  • Degree-educated or equivalent
  • Marketing or events qualification
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a large team
  • Commercially aware and a fair and confident negotiator
  • Understanding of contract risks including liability positions, GDPR and cancellation
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with strong attention to detail and a high level of EQ
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proactive and forward thinking, adept at solving problems efficiently
  • Confidence and gravitas to present credibly at a senior level
  • Highly collaborative and adept at developing strong working relationships
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • High level of professionalism and integrity
  • Flexibility with working hours when required
