Description

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Event Manager to lead a strong and motivated team, delivering events of the highest standard in this world-class, historic London venue.

An exemplary communicator, the successful candidate will have sound commercial sense and substantial experience of the end-to-end management of complex, high-profile events.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the management of a programme of high profile events and hospitality, delivering within agreed parameters and within budget
  • Leading the Events team to include recruitment, staff development and performance management
  • Identifying best practice in procedures, developing and delivering events that meet strategic objectives
  • Acting as the key point of contact for senior officials, Royal Households, the Foreign Office, Embassies and other organisations
  • Undertaking research projects with the aim of continuous enhancement of events activity
  • Overseeing the team’s use of the CRM system, resolving issues and identifying improvements
  • Reviewing operational documents and developing detailed guest lists and seating plans, ensuring alignment with event objectives
  • Analysing post-event feedback, responding to any issues or comments that are raised
  • Representing the venue with surveyors, planners and contractors; ensuring adherence to health and safety and all applicable regulations

Requirements:

  • Experience of planning and managing events, from identifying client requirements, advising on financial and operational issues, to working with contractors on delivery
  • An exceptional organiser who sets the highest professional standards in all you do
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with experience of high level client liaison; demonstrating tact and discretion
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience of undertaking budgetary control and managing financial systems
  • Strong leadership skills; a flexible and pro-active team player
  • Ability to remain calm and adaptable under pressure
  • Strongly motivated to achieve and exceed targets and balance competing demands
  • Proven commitment to providing a high level of customer service
